Acrel AWT200 LoRaWAN IoT Energy Monitoring Full Solution
12 Jan 2026
For enterprises embarking on the IoT-based transformation of electrical energy metering and energy management, the initial implementation phase is typically plagued by a set of universal pain points and challenges that require targeted solutions to address.

Pain Point

  • Challenges in Retrofit Implementation

For existing buildings and industrial facilities, conventional energy and electrical systems are predominantly built on wired communication architectures. Any IoT-oriented retrofit would necessitate full-scale re-cabling work, which not only incurs prolonged construction timelines and substantial financial investment but also risks disrupting ongoing production and daily operational activities.

    1
  • Signal Coverage Limitations

4G network signals experience severe attenuation in enclosed environments such as basements, electrical distribution rooms, hospital floors and factory workshops, leading to frequent data transmission interruptions.

    2
  • Large-Scale Deployment Challenges

Campus or factory premises feature a massive number of end circuits. The management, configuration and expansion of such a large number of nodes are highly complex, which may easily lead to network congestion or management difficulties.

System Topology

Similar to telecom base stations/Wi-Fi routers, [it] is installed at various locations across the project area based on the area size and interference conditions. It exchanges data with LoRaWAN nodes downstream and communicates with the NS (Network Server) platform via the UDP protocol upstream. AWT100-LW and ADW300-LW are LoRaWAN nodes, which perform on-site data collection and upload the data to the LoRaWAN gateway through the LoRaWAN protocol.
  • Complete data collection task management
  • Complete the analysis and query of collected data
  • Complete meter command delivery
  • Complete data transformer and receive
